Airwolf Cast Then and Now: Photos and Full Career Milestones Revealed
By Chloe Bennett
Introduced in Season 2 as Texas Highway Patrol officer Caitlin O'Shannessy, Jean Bruce Scott added sharp mechanical aptitude and much-needed grounded chemistry to the cockpit. Scott was already familiar to prime-time viewers for her recurring role as Lieutenant JG Meg Austin on Bellisario’s earlier hit, Magnum, P.I., as well as an extensive run on daytime soap opera Days of Our Lives.
When the original cast was severed ahead of Season 4, Scott stepped away from big-budget action television to pursue community-focused creative leadership. She transitioned into dramatic writing and theater administration, co-founding Native Voices at the Autry in Los Angeles. As executive producer of the theater company for over two decades, Scott developed hundreds of plays by Indigenous playwrights, transforming the American theatrical landscape. She remains retired from on-camera work, occasionally engaging with television historians to reflect on the high-flying 1980s production realities.
